Um... no. That may be a lie, but it's just plain stupid no matter what else it is. Presidents do not have the power to indict anyone. Grand juries do that.

This particular grand jury is from Eastern District of Virginia (Alexandria), one of most solid blue areas of the nation. The indictment was sought by interim U.S. Attorney, Lindsey Halligan, appointed by the Biden administration auto-pen.

Comey has been indicted for charges of making a false statement and obstruction of a congressional proceeding, related to his 2020 Senate testimony. In doing so, he joins a long list of political figures indicted on the same charges.

The difference being this. James Comey is the only Democrat indicted for these charges in the last 30 years. That's not because Democrat political figures don't lie constantly, but because they haven't been held accountable.

It should be noted that James Comey, in his role as director of the FBI, was a direct and central part of four of these other indictments.
