The Woman has desired a mandolin as long as I have known her. "No way kid! You'll cut your fingers off!"
Well, after enough years I figured 'what the hell, I know some first aid', and a mandolin was acquired. She immediately began slicing up everything in sight (food wise). Cabbage, apples, onions, what have you. All tasty stuff.
This morning, I caved and used the gadget to slice potatoes for breakfast. A cookie sheet was lined with parchment, olive oil applied, and filled with thinly sliced (1/8") potatoes. Spritz of olive oil on top, salt and pepper as well. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, and flip the slices. Back in for another 10 minutes.
The family has a new Favorite breakfast potato style, by a mile. Rave reviews, and sooo easy.
