A glimpse into life here..
The neighbor's young sons are playing in the bamboo forest out back.
It's a measure of their boy-ness that their general location can be tracked by darting shadows, lusty yelling, and surprisingly heavy crashes.
It's a measure of my unbounded amusement that I can track their exact location by watching the treetops sway..... thirty feet above the ground. Yup.... serious boy like behavior!

When I was growing up in southern Illinois, we stayed far away from cane-breaks. Such areas were a favorite hangout for Rattlers.
