The whole Godfather set, on BluRay... $18!
One day deal on Amazon.... and yes, I ordered one. Since I have been watching their daily deals, my movie collection has been growing steadily. Linkies:
Our film collection is quite large, but has been collected by patience over the years (waiting for the 2nd hand price to drop below £1.00 max) with quite a few costing less than two shillings plus postage.
Stage Two involves being ruthless about space saving. The DVD (no Blu-Ray here either) gets "processed" on to a disk share on my Home Server; the DVD goes into storage in a 200 disc DJ case; and the DVD case goes to recycling.
Viewing is simple - cheap-ish media players plugged into HD monitors or TVs in the relevant rooms, fed by Cat6 from the server - and no scrabbling around for one disc in over a thousand, its all sorted & indexed.
I own all the originals so there are no piracy issues, and if a copy becomes corrupted (rare) I just re-process it.

I have the original set somewhere or the other... And have never gone down the BluRay trail... :-)
